Moreover, the right and wrong sides of workwear fabric can be distinguished from the selvage. Generally, the right side is flatter than the wrong side, which has a curled-in selvage. Most double-width velvet is folded in half for manufacturing, with the inner layer being the right side and the outer layer being the wrong side.
