When using cranes for relocation, many issues need to be considered.
Rated lifting capacity Gn: Total weight of the material together with detachable lifting accessories or equipment (such as grabs, electromagnetic magnets, balancing beams, etc.).
Total Gross Weight (Gz): The total weight of the material, including detachable lifting equipment, lifting equipment permanently fixed on the crane, and the heavy (hook, block and tackle, lifting wire rope, and other lifting objects below the crane's trolley).
Effective Lifting Weight Gp: The net weight of the material that can be lifted.
The lifting capacity is typically the rated lifting capacity, prominently marked at a conspicuous location on the crane structure.
For boom types, the rated lifting capacity varies with the outreach, and the lifting characteristics are indicated by the lifting moment. The values marked on the label are the maximum lifting capacity.
Crane with detachable lifting devices (clamshell, electromagnet, balance beam, etc.), the total rated lifting capacity of the lifting device and material, the allowable weight of the lifted material is the effective lifting capacity.
