Waste primarily generated by health and epidemic prevention units, sanatoriums for patients, medical research institutions, etc., includes infectious waste such as: clinical infectious waste, including waste from post-mortem procedures (such as tissues, contaminated materials, and instruments), as well as waste medical materials and instruments contaminated with blood or bodily fluids; other waste items such as waste dressings, waste medical gloves, waste syringes, waste infusion sets, and waste blood transfusion sets; waste generated from hospital hemodialysis, including discarded equipment, tubes, filters, aprons, gloves, etc.; waste containing bacterial colonies and culture fluids of pathogenic strains, as well as culture fluids for preserving bacteria, generated during clinical, teaching, and research activities in medicine; all waste generated in isolation wards, such as excrements, waste dressings, domestic waste, and any other discarded equipment or materials that patients have come into contact with; waste sharp objects generated by hospitals, including discarded needles, subcutaneous injection needles, scalpels, surgical knives, infusion sets, surgical saws, broken glass, etc.; sludge generated from wastewater treatment; and chemical waste.
