The storage and preservation of auto parts are crucial work phases in both the automotive circulation and production sectors. With the development of China's automotive industry and the increase in vehicle ownership, the demand for auto parts supply chains has expanded. To scientifically manage the anti-rust measures for auto parts warehousing and preservation, a specific plan has been formulated.
Automotive parts should be stored in warehouses or open-air yards to prevent erosion and influence from harmful gases, dust, and smoke; they must not be stored with chemicals, acids, or alkaline substances. Storage should be selected based on the material, weight, structure, shape, performance, and outer packaging of the parts, choosing between open-air yards or specific storage bays in warehouses. Different stacking types should be adopted to determine the appropriate number of stacks, dividing storage to ensure safety.
Storage areas should be dry and well-ventilated, equipped with fire protection facilities. The warehouses for storing parts should have tightly sealed doors and windows, as well as ventilation channels, to protect products from dust, moisture, and exposure to sunlight or rain. Relative humidity within the warehouse should be controlled and should not exceed 70%. The temperature should be maintained between 10°C and 30°C. To prevent rust, parts should be wrapped with rust inhibitors and protective film.
