Needle-type insulator

Insulators, typically made by bonding or mechanically fitting insulating components (such as porcelain or glass pieces) with metal accessories (like steel legs, iron caps, flanges, etc.) using adhesive or mechanical clips, are widely used in power systems. Generally classified as external insulation, they operate under atmospheric conditions. Overhead transmission lines, busbars in power plants and transformer stations, and external conductors of various electrical equipment all require insulators to support them and ensure they are insulated from the ground (or grounding objects) or other conductors with differing potential differences.
