The shut-off valve is suitable for cutting off, regulating, and throttling purposes. Due to the relatively short stroke of the valve stem and its highly reliable cutting function, and because the change in the valve seat opening is directly proportional to the stroke of the valve disc, it is particularly suitable for flow regulation. It can be used to control the flow of various types of fluids, including air, water, steam, corrosive media, sludge, oils, liquid metals, and radioactive substances.


Stainless steel gate valves are a type of gate valve, with specific stainless steel materials including CF8 (304), CF3 (304L), CF8M (316), and CF3M (316L). Different materials are suitable for various media such as water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing mediums, urea, and more. Stainless steel gate valves come in manual, pneumatic, and electric versions. The connection methods include general threaded, angle, three-way, straight-through, insulated, and more. Their notable advantage is that during the opening and closing process, the friction between the valve disc and the sealing surface of the valve body is less than that of a sluice gate, making them wear-resistant.

Stainless Steel Ball Valve Handle Point:

The structure is simpler than that of a gate valve, making both manufacturing and maintenance more convenient.

2. The sealing surface is resistant to wear and abrasion, ensuring a good seal. During operation, there is no relative sliding between the valve disc and the sealing surface of the valve body, thus minimizing wear and abrasion, and providing excellent sealing performance with a long service life.

3. During opening and closing, the valve disc travel is minimal, resulting in a lower cutoff valve height compared to a sluice valve, but a longer structural length.

4. High opening and closing torque, more effort required for operation, and longer opening and closing time.

5. High fluid resistance due to the winding passage inside the valve body, resulting in increased fluid resistance and power consumption.

6. Flow Direction: For nominal pressure PN ≤ 16MPa, the general practice is to use the downstream direction, with the medium flowing from the bottom to the top of the valve disc. For nominal pressure PN ≥ 20MPa, the general practice is to use the upstream direction, with the medium flowing from the top to the bottom of the valve disc. This is to enhance the sealing capability. In use, the cut-off valve medium can only flow in one direction and cannot be reversed.

7. The valve disc is often eroded when fully open.
