Fluorine-lined valve operating conditions are severe, often involving toxic and harmful chemicals, or highly corrosive acids, bases, or organic solvents. Improper use can lead to economic losses and severe consequences. Correct usage and maintenance of the valves can extend their lifespan, prevent accidents, and ensure the normal operation of pipelines. Therefore, attention must be paid to the following points during installation, repair, and maintenance:

The fluorine-lined valve flange cover should not be opened arbitrarily. It must be prepared for pipeline connection to avoid potential damage to the PTFE flange face due to temperature differences or foreign objects, which may cause scratches, dents, or warping and deformation, affecting the seal. If the cover needs to be moved for inspection purposes, it must be promptly repositioned after inspection to protect the PTFE flange face.

2. When fluorinated ethylene propylene (PTFE) valves are connected to piping, it is generally not necessary to use a separate gasket. However, when connecting to flanges made of dissimilar materials (metal surfaces, etc.), an appropriate gasket should be used to protect the PTFE flange surface.

In the case of fluorine-lined valves during system operation, if leakage occurs at higher temperatures, the system temperature should first be reduced to room temperature before identifying the cause and conducting repairs.

4. No high-temperature welding is permitted on fluorine-lined valves to prevent damage to the lining layer.

5. When installing, the flange nuts should be tightened diagonally (symmetrically) in sequence and with an appropriate torque.

If the法兰 sealing surface leaks and the nut at the leak location is already tightened, loosen the nut at the leak location by half a turn, then apply the same torque to the opposite side and retighten it.

If the above methods do not stop the leak, check for indentation or scratches on the PTFE flange surface, and then use fine sandpaper or cloth to flatten and rejoin.

6. Fluorine-lined valves should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated room and are strictly prohibited from being stacked.

7. After maintenance, the fluorine-lined valve must pass relevant standard tests before installation.

8. When manually operating fluorinated valves, it is prohibited to use other levers to forcefully open or close the valves.

9. When installing directional fluorine-lined valves, pay attention to the flow direction of the medium, which should be in line with the arrow indicated on the valve body, and ensure ease of operation and maintenance.

10. Long-term stored fluorine-lined valves should have their sealing components slightly open and separated to prevent the sealing surface from being under pressure for an extended period, which may cause deformation and affect the sealing performance and service life.
