Rotomolding Process:Injection MoldingThe product is large, involving the process of placing plastic pellets into molds, heating them, and then continuously rolling the molds to allow the plastic to bond with the inner walls of the mold for shaping. The molds are inexpensive, while the products are highly priced. They are primarily used for hollow, packaging, and oversized items, featuring significant shrinkage ratios and extremely low constants. Common outdoor items like trash bins, collision-proof bins, and slides are all products of rotational molding.
Blow Molding TechnologyBlow molding molds are relatively simple, using air to blow the product into shape. The mold prices are moderate, mainly suitable for producing hollow, packaging, and other special products. Monthly production capacity is limited to only a few thousand sets. Blow molding involves injection and blowing, resulting in a protruding pipe head left from the blowing tube. Commonly used disposable plastic cups and household plastic basins are both made using this process.
The distinction between rotational molding and blow molding processes is as follows.
