Detailed Description The insulators are composed of porcelain components and upper and lower metal attachments bonded together with adhesive. Elastic pads are placed between the porcelain surface and the metal attachment bonding areas. The porcelain bonding sections are designed with sanding, knurling, and grooving structures to ensure mechanical strength, prevent loosening, and twisting. The porcelain surface is evenly coated with white glaze, and the metal attachments are painted with gray magnetic paint. The insulator porcelain components have two main structures: a cavity partition (penetrable) structure and a solid (non-penetrable) structure. The combined adhesive-assembly pillar insulators are generally of the solid non-penetrable structure. The latter structure enhances safety and reliability compared to the former, and reduces the workload for maintenance and testing. The insulator porcelain pieces come in two shapes: with multiple edges or fewer edges. The multi-edged shape increases the surface distance, offering superior electrical performance compared to the fewer-edged shape. All products except for the gradually being phased out rubber-insulated pole insulators are multi-edged. Internal rubber mounted structure, due to metal accessories being glued into the porcelain piece holes, it correspondingly increases the insulation distance, enhancing electrical properties, while also reducing the space occupied during installation. However, since the internal rubber mounting is不利 for improving mechanical strength, insulators with higher mechanical strength requirements should adopt combined mounting (i.e., upper accessories use internal rubber mounting, lower accessories use external rubber mounting). The disc-shaped suspension porcelain insulator for high-voltage overhead transmission and distribution lines is used for insulation and wire fixation. Typically, it is assembled into insulator strings for use on lines of various voltage levels. Standard insulators are suitable for general areas, and increasing the number of insulator pieces can also enhance the anti-fogging performance if appropriate. Suspended porcelain insulators are made by bonding porcelain components, iron caps, and steel feet with a cementitious adhesive of not less than No. 525 silicate cement and quartz sand. The iron caps and steel feet have a thin coating of buffer layer on the contact surface with the adhesive, and the top of the steel feet features an elastic pad. The porcelain surface is usually glazed with white or brown glaze, or other glazes as required. The iron caps and steel feet are fully hot-dipped galvanized. The push-pull elastic locking pins with spherical connections come in W and R types, both made of tin bronze, brass, and austenitic stainless steel, offering good elasticity and corrosion resistance, and easy assembly and disassembly. The cylindrical and saddle-shaped open pins for slot connections, the former being hot-dipped galvanized and the latter made of brass. The above elastic locking pins and cylinder pins, etc., are divided into spherical and slot types according to the connection method. Standard and dirt-resistant insulators of the same strength grade, with identical ball socket connection dimensions, can be interchanged.
