Composite insulators consist of three parts: an insulating core rod, a silicon rod with a rubber sheath, and the connecting hardware at both ends. Insulating core rods, also known as epoxy glass fiber drawn rods, serve as the framework for composite insulators, supporting the hood, internal insulation, connecting hardware at both ends, and bearing mechanical loads. They offer high tensile strength, typically exceeding 600 MPa, which is twice that of ordinary steel and 5 to 8 times that of porcelain. They also possess excellent dielectric properties and resistance to chemical erosion, as well as good resistance to bending fatigue, creep, and impact. Silicon rubber hoods primarily protect the core rods, shield against rain and snow, increase the creepage distance, and enhance the external insulation of the product. Made from high polymer silicone rubber with flame retardants, anti-aging agents, and coupling agents as fillers, they are vulcanized under high temperature and pressure. They exhibit good hydrophobicity, migration resistance, and excellent resistance to corrosion, aging, and electrical insulation. Moreover, they have a high flashover voltage and fragmentation resistance, with a uniform voltage distribution. Compared to porcelain, their flashover voltage under the same conditions is more than twice that of porcelain. Composite Insulator Product Types FXBW-----Rod-type suspended composite insulator FPQ-----Composite Needle Insulator FZSW - Composite Pole Insulator FS——Composite Cross Arm Insulator FCGW-----Composite Dry Through-Wall Sleeve FQE(X) - Composite Insulator for Electrified Railways FQJ - Electric track vehicle roof composite insulator Terms of Use Ambient Temperature: -40℃ to +40℃; Altitude: Not exceeding 1500 meters AC power frequency not exceeding 100HZ, wind speed not exceeding 35m/s Earthquake intensity does not exceed 8.0. Product Performance Features Compact and lightweight, approximately 1/5 to 1/9 the size and weight of similar voltage porcelain insulators, making them easy to transport and install. The composite insulator boasts high mechanical strength, reliable structure, stable performance, and a large safety margin for operation, providing assurance for the line and safe operation. The composite insulator boasts superior electrical properties, with the silicone rubber canopy offering excellent hydrophobicity and migration resistance, good dirt resistance, strong anti-tracking ability, and can safely operate in heavily polluted areas without the need for manual cleaning, allowing for zero-value maintenance. Composite insulators feature acid and alkali resistance, heat aging and electrical withstand capabilities, good sealing performance, and ensure that the internal insulation remains dry. The composite insulator boasts excellent anti-fracture properties, strong shock resistance, and will not suffer from brittle fracture accidents. The composite insulator is interchangeable and can be used in place of porcelain insulators and others.
