Stone wool boards, also known as thermal insulation and decorative stone wool boards, are inorganic fiber boards made by melting and processing basalt at high temperatures. The successful trial production of stone wool boards was achieved in June 1981. They are a new type of thermal insulation, fire-retardant, and sound-absorbing material.

Rockwool boards are artificial inorganic fibers produced through high-temperature melting processing, featuring light weight, low thermal conductivity, heat absorption, and non-combustibility. Initially developed, they are commonly used in construction with a wide range of application types, especially suitable for industrial buildings, and should comply with the regulations of "Application Types and Basic Requirements for Building Insulation Materials."
