The performance of the tempered glass insulators is particularly outstanding in the following aspects:

1. Excellent Dielectric Properties and No Aging Phenomenon: The quality of the insulator's insulation performance is greatly related to the internal molecular structure of the insulating material. Glass belongs to an amorphous structure, being a silicate compound without a fixed melting point, with a dense and uniform texture. The controlled continuous production process eliminates the artificial influence of production personnel on the insulator's performance. SiO2 forms the backbone of the glass, with other oxides filling in the framework and connected by chemical bonds, exhibiting strong interaction, resistance to electrical field polarization, and excellent inertness, making it an ideal insulating material.

2. Excellent mechanical properties and thermal resistance characteristics: When the glass blank is still in a high-temperature state after being molded, it is subjected to a sudden drop in temperature by blowing controlled cold air onto the surface, resulting in uniform pre-stress. This stress causes the glass blank to contract internally upon cooling, creating internal tension. This tension leads to a permanent compressive stress on the glass surface. After undergoing the tempering process, the glass blank significantly enhances its resistance to mechanical impact. Additionally, during a single-phase grounding fault in transmission lines, a large short-circuit current is generated, which demands both excellent arc resistance from insulators and maintaining tensile strength. Tempered glass insulators exhibit superior arc resistance compared to porcelain insulators, while their tensile strength remains relatively unchanged.
