1. Assign I/O points
Draw a connection diagram or corresponding table of the PLC's I/O points and input/output devices; this part can also be done in Step 2.
2. Design PLC peripheral hardware circuit
Draw electrical circuit diagrams for other system components, including the main circuit and control circuits that do not enter the programmable controller.

The program should focus on meeting the system control requirements, sequentially writing code to implement each control function or sub-task, and gradually refining the system's capabilities. 2) Programs for testing, fault diagnosis, and display. These programs are relatively independent and are generally added once the basic program design is completed.
