The Allen-Bradley 1756-IB32 series B ControlLogix digital DC input module consumes approximately 6.2 watts of power when operating at 60 degrees Celsius. The module features reverse-polarity protection. It is protected by an exposed housing section. This open housing does not shield the Allen-Bradley 1756-IB32 B series module from liquids, debris, or harmful or corrosive chemicals, but it does protect the module's critical components from minor threats. The open housing also prevents operators from coming into contact with the module's live components, as well as from electrical injury. The module also includes state change functionality, which can be software-configured for different applications. The RSLogix 5000 software used with the module must be version 8.02 or higher.
