The YJDH-603 ultrasonic electric spark surfacing machine is our company's new cold welding machine model. This model has undergone significant technical upgrades based on the previously popular YJDH-601 ultrasonic electric spark surfacing machine from the past few years.

Cast iron parts can be quickly repaired using ordinary wire directly.

Repair 100mm3Manganese spots, in just 30 seconds, and wire cost only 2 cents.

What is an ultrasonic electrospark surfacing machine?

The principle of electric spark surfacing: When positively charged welding material discharges onto a negatively charged workpiece, a small amount of the welding material transfers to the workpiece.

Traditional rotating electric spark surfacing, typically rotating at 200 rpm. It spends too much time at the same position (leading to excessively large surfacing particles that are hard to fully melt), and has fewer discharge cycles (slowing down the surfacing speed), making it less than ideal for cold welding repairs.

Utilizing ultrasonic-assisted electrospark surfacing, as the ultrasonic vibration can reach over 20,000 times per second, there are more discharge transfers, and each transfer carries finer particles. This enables faster repairs while maintaining a finer and more durable finish.

Is the ultrasonic electric spark surfacing machine a cold welding machine?

The entire surfacing process is the result of a combination of phenomena such as metal ion discharge transfer, micro-arc welding, and resistance welding. Overall, in this process, only the wire end is heated and transferred, while the workpiece substrate remains unheated, thus achieving a cold welding effect.

------Make Your Work Easier------

Handle for ultrasonic electric spark surfacing machine, extremely lightweight (diameter 35mm, length 105mm, weight 220g). Easy to control with one hand. During surfacing, the wire vibrates at a micron level for stable operation. No issues like drift, slip, or inability to accurately position. Significantly reduces fatigue and strain from prolonged work.

Under what circumstances is the ultrasonic electrospark surfacing machine (cold welding machine) applicable? What are its typical application areas?

The advantages of electrospark surfacing include almost zero welding stress on the workpiece, eliminating any risk of deformation or cracking, which is unattainable with other welding methods. Therefore, this machine is particularly suitable for the wear repair of shafts and guides, as well as for fixing casting defects such as sand holes and blow holes in aluminum, iron, steel, and copper castings.

However, the bonding strength of surfacing is lower than that of other types of cold welding machines or TIG welding or electric welding. Therefore, it is not recommended to use the surfacing method for repairs on critical load-bearing or stressed areas. For customers with such needs, we suggest opting for our other products (YJXB series and YJHB series cold welding machines) for the repair.
