The main features of the marine variable frequency explosion-proof motor are:

1. Meets the requirements of explosion-proof motors for increased safety, implementing a series of reliable measures to prevent sparks, arcs, and hazardous high temperatures, allowing safe operation in Zone 2 explosion hazard areas.

2. Brushless excitation is employed, with a rotating rectifier disk and a static excitation cabinet set up, ensuring a reliable excitation control system; excitation is accurately applied with no shock due to correct phase and slip; the excitation system's out-of-step protection is reliable, with strong re-step capability; the circuit design is reasonable, with no heating of the discharge resistor during operation; wide adjustment range for excitation current.

3. Synchronous machines, AC excitation machines, and rotating rectifier disks are coaxial. The rectifier disk is positioned between the main motor and the excitation machine, or it is placed outside the bearing housing.

4. The shell has an IP protection rating.

5. Utilizing F-grade insulation, temperature rise is evaluated according to B-grade standards.

6. Modify the traditional下水冷 to 上水冷, placing the water cooler above the motor.

7. A moisture-proof heating element is installed in the housing at the bottom of the motor, used for moisture prevention during shutdown.

8. Select raw materials with ample margin for electrical and mechanical calculations, which can meet the reliability of operation and the temperature requirements of explosion-proof motors.

9. Comprehensive measures are in place; an explosion-proof self-balancing current transformer for differential protection is installed in the main junction box; platinum resistance thermometers, type Pt100, are embedded in the stator windings for both operational and standby use; a water leakage detector is set up for the water cooler; sliding bearings with two end mounts are equipped with on-site temperature display instruments and remote signal terminals.

Explosion-proof and high-efficiency variable-frequency speed control motors have become an urgent demand for energy-saving products among petrochemical users. Energy-saving in explosion-proof motors involves two aspects: first, developing high-efficiency explosion-proof motor products, and second, extensively producing various types of explosion-proof variable-speed motors, especially designing speed control motors for fans, pumps, and compressors with significant energy-saving potential.

The main characteristics of the marine frequency conversion explosion-proof motor are:

1. The housing boasts high sealing properties to minimize or prevent dust from entering the housing. Should it infiltrate, the quantity is insufficient to pose a fire ignition hazard.

2. The surface of the control housing must not exceed the allowed temperature as specified in the temperature group. It has been used on mechanized equipment in national grain reserve warehouses. The national standard for dust explosion-proof electrical equipment is GBl2476.1—90 "Explosion-Proof Electrical Equipment for Dust-Explosive Environments."

Explosion-proof motor, Non-sparking type

An electric motor that, under normal operating conditions, will not ignite any surrounding explosive mixtures and generally does not experience ignition faults. Compared to explosion-proof motors, it does not have specified requirements for insulation dielectric strength test voltage, winding temperature rise, te (the time from the start of the starting current to reaching the ultimate temperature of the AC winding after reaching the rated operating end temperature under ambient temperature), and starting current ratio, as those of the explosion-proof type do. In all other aspects, it meets the design requirements of explosion-proof motors.
