Cables consist of four main components: conductors, insulation, shielding, and protective layers.
Conductor
Conductors are the conductive parts of wires and cables, used for transmitting electrical power and are the main components of wires and cables.
Insulation Layer
Insulation is crucial for electrically isolating conductors from the earth and from conductors of different phases, ensuring the transmission of electrical power and being an indispensable part of the structure of wires and cables.
Shield Layer
Wires and cables above 15KV typically feature conductor屏蔽层 and insulation屏蔽层.
Protective Layer
The protective layer serves to shield wires and cables from external impurities and moisture, as well as to prevent direct damage to the power cables from external forces.
