Occasionally, we've observed that material from the column tubes is erupting from the tube outlets, indicating that there is damage to the tube walls. The tubes are not subject to external interference. Since these products have not been in use for long, the wear and corrosion mentioned earlier are not severe. Therefore, it can only be concluded that the tube leakage is primarily due to the poor quality of most steel pipes.
Solution:
1. The horizontal installation setup has been adjusted to vertical, allowing the condensed liquid to脱离 the heat exchange tubes by its own gravity, thereby reducing the likelihood of cavitation.
2. The shell and upper tube plate are separated, with a loose connection to address potential damage from thermal expansion and contraction; the amount of water naturally overflowing from the top via recirculating water is used to determine if there is any leakage in the heat exchanger tubes.
Increase the volume of the top and bottom caps to reduce the fluctuation range of pressure inside the pipe.
During operation, the tube sheet is mostly in contact with industrial cooling water. Impurities, salts, gases, and microorganisms in the industrial water can cause corrosion to the tube sheet and the weld joints, leading to leaks. Additionally, the complexity of the metal structure can also interfere with leak situations.
