2009 Double-Sided Mechanical Seal
Mechanical seals for glass-lined mixing containers with nominal pressure not exceeding 1MPa and operating temperatures between -20 to 200°C. The mixing shaft diameter ranges from 40 to 160mm, with rotational axis speed less than 2m/S. Modular design with strong component interchangeability, non-directional transmission. Primarily used for shaft seals in enamelled reactors, capable of withstanding various strongly corrosive, particle-laden media. Generally used in conjunction with hydraulic pump stations. Equipped with multiple springs, radial double-end face, and bidirectional rotation.
Application Conditions: Flammable, explosive, toxic, and highly corrosive gases.
Relevant Information:
Mechanical seals composed of two pairs of sealed faces. Compared to single face mechanical seals, double face mechanical seals offer superior sealing performance and are suitable for applications involving strong corrosion, high temperatures, suspended particles and fibers in the medium, gas mediums, flammable, explosive, and volatile substances, low viscosity mediums, and high vacuum conditions. Double face mechanical seals are not just a repetition of single face seals; in key industries like chemicals, they effectively prevent leaks of hazardous, toxic, flammable, and explosive materials, providing high-performance insurance. Additionally, they can reasonably distribute the pressure difference across both ends of each seal when sealing high-pressure mediums, thereby increasing the working pressure range of the seal.
