What is ISO?

It is the abbreviation for the International Organization for Standardization.

Originally published in 1987, revised once in 1994, and twice in 2000, the 2000 edition consolidated the original three quality assurance models—ISO 9001, ISO 9002, and ISO 9003—into a single ISO 9001.

ISO requires that all standards be reviewed at least every five years (for revision).

The Origin of ISO?

International standards, although the concept emerged 80 years ago, initially focused primarily on electrical engineering. In the 1930s, some individuals began to develop international standards in other fields, and this idea was finally realized with the establishment of ISO.

What is a process?

All activities or operations organized, where there is an input that transforms into an output, are defined as processes. Therefore, all activities and operations in the production and service sectors are considered processes. The quality management system standards, which are interconnected and revised among processes, are guided by process-oriented management principles.

What is "Continuous Improvement"?

"Continuous Improvement" refers to those processes that sustainably and effectively achieve "the organization's policies and goals." Continuous Improvement addresses dynamic needs and expectations, ensuring a dynamically evolving quality management system.
