Dust collectors are essential components of the dust removal system, which involves placing dust hoods in areas prone to dust accumulation, channeling the dusty gases through a pipeline to a dust removal unit. Inside this unit, gas-solid separation occurs, collecting the dust within and allowing the clean gas to be introduced into the main pipeline or released directly into the atmosphere. From a ventilation and dust removal perspective, dust refers to all solid particles that can remain suspended in the air for a relatively long time, forming a dispersed system known as an aerosol. Here, air acts as the dispersing medium, while the solid particles are the dispersed phase. Dust collectors are the equipment designed to separate these solid particles from the aerosol.
