Glass protective film is primarily made of polyester film (PET), coated with a special silicone layer to enhance its adhesion and scratch resistance. In terms of materials, in addition to the basic PET, nanomaterials and TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) are also used, which give the film better light transmission, scratch resistance, and impact resistance.
When using glass protective film, the following points should be paid special attention to:
Ensure a clean glass surface: Before applying the film, make sure the glass is dust-free and oil-free to avoid affecting the film's adhesion.
2. Tinting Tips: When applying the film, press from the center outwards gradually to remove air bubbles and ensure even application.
3. Avoid Contact with Hard Objects: Although the protective film is scratch-resistant, it is still necessary to avoid direct contact with sharp, hard objects to prevent scratching.
4. Regular Cleaning: The protective film surface is prone to accumulating dust, so it should be gently wiped with clean water or a dedicated cleaner on a regular basis to maintain its cleanliness and transparency.
5. Replacement Cycle: Generally, it is recommended to replace the protective film every six months to one year, depending on usage, to ensure its protective effectiveness.
Properly using glass protective film not only effectively prevents glass from scratching but also extends its service life.
