Granite is an igneous rock composed of countless crystal grains with evenly distributed spots. It is highly stable and, unlike marble, does not easily fade or age under the sun, rain, wind, and ultraviolet rays, making it a common choice for outdoor construction. Marble, on the other hand, boasts beautiful veining with rich patterns and aesthetic designs, with significant differences in veining patterns depending on the origin. Natural marble is primarily composed of calcium carbonate, which means it cannot be heat-treated or processed using techniques like Lijimo. Granite, however, is mainly composed of silicon dioxide, rendering it less resistant to acids and alkalis. In home renovations, kitchen countertops often use granite or artificial marble rather than natural marble. Marble is also softer than granite, with a Mohs hardness between 3 to 5 units, while granite can reach 6 to 7 units.
