Nickel-based alloys are a class of alloys that exhibit high strength and certain anti-oxidation and corrosion resistance at high temperatures ranging from 650 to 1000°C. They are further subdivided into categories such as nickel-based heat-resistant alloys, corrosion-resistant alloys, wear-resistant alloys, precision alloys, and shape-memory alloys based on their primary properties. High-temperature alloys are categorized according to the base metal, including iron-based, nickel-based, and cobalt-based alloys. Nickel-based high-temperature alloys are commonly referred to as nickel-based alloys.
