The box press filter is widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, chemicals, metallurgy, coal, light industry, food, environmental protection, textiles, and clay. Suspended liquids are extensively utilized in various solid-liquid separations.
The features of the box filter press: The enhanced polypropylene filter plates are made using patented technology, offering high strength, light weight, corrosion and acid-base resistance; they are tightly sealed with jacks and mechanically locked, with a rational structure. Easy to operate and maintain; the filtration pressure is 0.6 MPa, suitable for low solid content and easily filterable materials; the chassis is made of full steel welded joints, ensuring stable mechanical properties, a compact design, and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. Operation is simple, safe, labor-saving, and continuous through the control panel buttons, and various safety devices are included to ensure the safety of the operator.
The filter plate thickness of the press filter is approximately 60 to 85 millimeters. Each filter plate is square, with a reduction of 40 millimeters on the inner sides of both sides, creating a depression of about 25 millimeters. The protrusion does not exceed 8 millimeters and can be either circular or strip-shaped. The effect is that the filter plates of the press filter have good contact with the filter cake during the re-filtering process, thereby supporting the function of the filter cake.
The box filter press is positioned in the center of the filter plates and features a hole for opening, the feed tube, which typically has a diameter of 100 millimeters. When the filter press manufacturer presses the squeezing diaphragm, it is necessary to fill the filter chamber with material before pressing. After pressing, the filter plate can be opened for discharge to prevent the diaphragm from bursting. Regular checks of the compressed air pipeline should be conducted during operation. If the air tube falls off or experiences severe leakage, the inlet valve should be closed immediately, and the exhaust valve opened.
After repair, the unit can be used again. For detailed operational instructions, please consult the manufacturer. Below or around the depression, there is a drainage hole, which is connected to the drainage pipe to expel the filtered liquid from the device. Both sides are the same. Typically, there are two layers of filter cloth between the filter plate and the filter cloth, connected by filter cloth tubes that are smaller than the holes on the filter plate, allowing for the inclusion of a filter mesh. The filter plate structure of the box-type pressure filter is also different. It has two types of filter plates: standard filter plates and boundary filter plates. The boundary filter plates are square half strips used to embed the filter plates. These two types of filter plates are placed alternately in the filter chamber of the plate-and-frame pressure filter.
