On May 23, 2021, at 9:30 AM, the third annual graduation ceremony for the School-Enterprise Cooperation was successfully held at Hebei Xintie Sculpture Group, a renowned sculpture manufacturer in Quyang.
The meeting was presided over by Wang Jianzhuang, the Secretary-General of the Hebei Stone Carving Association.
Attendees included: Professor Guo Baozhai, Lifetime Professor at Hebei Academy of Fine Arts and Art Director of Hebei Xin特 Sculpture Group, Quyang County; Wang Ping, Secretary and Director of the Party Committee and Administration of Quyang Sculpture Cultural Industrial Park, China; Liu Bin, Director of the Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, and Tourism of Quyang County; Liu Jingzhou, Director of the Quyang County Carving and Jingdezhen Porcelain Industry Management Service Center; Hou Jianhong, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the Quyang County Committee of the Communist Party of China; Wu Xueru, Chairman of Hebei Xin特 Sculpture Group; Zhao Yong, Stone Carving Practice Instructor at Hebei Academy of Fine Arts. Also in attendance were representatives from the Hebei Province Stone Carving Association, representatives of Hebei Xin特 Sculpture Group employees, and representatives from relevant units.
Qushan County Hebei Xin特 Sculpture Group has been collaborating with Hebei Fine Arts Academy since signing the school-enterprise cooperation agreement in 2017. For three consecutive years, from 2019 to 2021, they successfully hosted three sessions of stone carving creation training. These were led by National Level II Fine Arts Teacher Zhao Yong, with guidance from carving technicians such as Liu Weimin from Hebei Xin特 Sculpture Group, and participation from students of the Sculpture Major at the School of Plastic Arts, Hebei Fine Arts Academy.
In 2021, the third annual cooperative education sculpture students spent a month honing their stone carving skills. Under the meticulous guidance of Mr. Zhao Yong from Hebei Fine Arts Academy and Mr. Liu Weimin, a technician from Hebei Xintech Sculpture Group, the students completed their studies and produced over sixty works. These pieces showcase a high artistic standard and a rich range of formal languages. To encourage their future creativity, our company has collected the outstanding works and awarded them monetary rewards.
Hubei XinTe Sculpture Group Chairman Wu Xueru delivered the opening remarks, thanking the county leaders for their high regard for the school-enterprise cooperation, and expressing gratitude to Professor Guo Baozhai and Teacher Zhao Yong for their practical training of the students. He pointed out that under the highly competitive social environment, the mode of school-enterprise cooperation is a targeted way to cultivate and tap talents, and both the college and the enterprise emphasize the practicality and effectiveness of talents.
Professor Guo Baoyao, the Art Director of Hebei Xintai Sculpture Group, emphasized in his speech that Quyang is known as the "Home of Stone Carving" in China. The practical training at Hebei Xintai Sculpture Group is definitely a great help to the students' artistic development, and the cooperation between schools and enterprises has also sown seeds in the Chinese sculpture industry.
Director Liu Bin spoke on two points: Firstly, he expressed gratitude to the mentors from Hebei Fine Arts Academy and the sculptors from Hebei Xintie Sculpture Group in Quyang County for their dedication to the students. Secondly, he fervently hoped that the students would strive for their beliefs!
