Uncoiled parallel wire bundles experience resistance when bending, as the outer wires are stretched while the inner wires are compressed. Both the stretching and compression contribute to the resistance against bending. During the bending and straightening process, each wire undergoes a bending deformation. In contrast, when twisted wire bundles bend, each wire is spirally wrapped around the bundle's circumference, allowing them to stretch and compress together. The compressed sections move towards the stretched sections, overcoming the conflict of wire movement with much less resistance than that experienced by the individual wires in parallel bundles during bending.

High Reliability

When manufacturing conductors for wires and cables, the reliability of a single conductor is compromised due to defects in the manufacturing process and uneven materials. By twisting multiple single strands together to form the core, these defects are dispersed, significantly improving the reliability of the conductor. This is especially evident in single-strand joints.

Intense

When comparing single-core wire with a single stranded wire of the same cross-section, the strength is improved. With the same material, the finer the wire diameter, the higher the tensile strength. Therefore, the composite tensile breaking force of a stranded wire made from multiple fine strands is greater than that of a single-core wire of the same cross-section.

Good stability

During twisting, each single wire alternates between the upper elongation zone and the lower contraction zone on the strand, with no elongation, contraction, or change in the position of the single wires. When parallel wire bundles are twisted, the upper wires are stretched and embedded into the bundle, while the lower wires contract towards the bundle's center due to compression, causing a change in the shape of the bundle.
