Detailed Description The insulators are assembled using adhesive to bond porcelain components with upper and lower metal attachments. Elastic pads are placed between the porcelain component and metal attachment during the adhesive bonding process. The porcelain bonding areas feature structures such as sandblasting, embossing, and grooving to ensure mechanical strength, prevent loosening, and twisting. The porcelain surface is evenly coated with white glaze, while the metal attachments are coated with gray magnetic paint. The insulator porcelain components have two main structures: a hollow partition (penetrable) structure and a solid (non-penetrable) structure. The combined adhesive mounted pillar insulators are generally of the solid non-penetrable structure. The latter structure improves safety and reliability over the former, reducing maintenance and testing workload. The insulator porcelain pieces come in two shapes: with more or fewer棱. The ones with more棱 increase the surface distance, offering better electrical properties than the ones with fewer棱. All products except for the gradually being phased out rubber-insulated pole insulators are of the multi-棱 shape. Internal rubber-fitted structure, as the metal fittings are inserted into the porcelain parts' holes, it correspondingly increases the insulation distance, enhancing the electrical performance. At the same time, it reduces the space occupied during installation. However, since the internal rubber fitting is不利于 improving mechanical strength, insulators requiring higher mechanical strength should adopt a combined rubber-fitting method (i.e., the upper fittings use internal rubber fitting, while the lower fittings use external rubber fitting). Disc-type suspension porcelain insulators for high-voltage overhead transmission and distribution lines, used for insulation and wire fixation, commonly assembled into insulator strings for various voltage levels. Standard insulators are suitable for general areas; increasing the number of insulator discs can also enhance the anti-fouling flashover performance. Suspended porcelain insulators are made by bonding porcelain pieces, iron caps, and steel feet with a cementitious adhesive of not less than No. 525 silicate cement and quartz sand. The iron caps and steel feet have a thin coating of buffer layer on the surfaces contacting the adhesive, and the top of the steel feet features an elastic pad. The porcelain pieces are typically glazed with white or brown glaze, with other glazes available upon request. Both the iron caps and steel feet are hot-dip galvanized. The ball-type sliding elastic locking pins come in W and R types, both made of tin bronze, brass, and austenitic stainless steel, offering good elasticity and corrosion resistance, and are easy to install and remove. The cylindrical and saddle-shaped opening pins for slot-type connections, the former being hot-dip galvanized and the latter made of brass. The above elastic locking pins and cylindrical pins, etc., are zero-insulating components, divided into ball-type and slot-type according to the connection method. Standard and anti-fouling insulators of the same strength grade, with identical socket connection dimensions, are interchangeable.
