Mixed flow fans are mainly composed of components such as impellers, casings, inlet collectors, guide vanes, and electric motors. The impellers are twisted flat plates with meridional acceleration characteristics, welded onto the hub. After dynamic balance verification and over-speed testing, they exhibit excellent aerodynamic performance. The casing is circular and forms an integral unit with the noise-reducing collector. The outlet is equipped with guide vanes for good air flow distribution and stable pressure. Mixed flow fans combine the characteristics of axial and centrifugal fans, appearing more like traditional axial flow fans. The casing can have an open inlet, but it is more commonly designed with a right-angle bend shape, allowing the motor to be placed outside the pipe. The exhaust casing gradually expands to slow down the air or gas flow, converting kinetic energy into useful static pressure.
