As numerical control machine tool technology advances rapidly, the electrical spindle, as one of the key functional components of CNC machine tools, demands higher reliability. The research on the reliability of electrical spindles has been systematically conducted in machine tool enterprises and research institutions across various countries. Currently, the reliability technology of electrical spindles at home and abroad is primarily studied from the following three aspects:
We conducted a fault analysis on the electric spindle, identified its vulnerable points, and enhanced its reliability.
(2) Test technology for the reliability of electric spindle, through systematic reliability testing and analysis of related test data, to detect the critical performance of the electric spindle, thereby assessing the reliability of the electric spindle.
(3) Electric Spindle Fault Diagnosis Technology – Faults in electric spindles often occur internally, primarily concentrated in areas such as bearings, rotors, and puller mechanisms, which are difficult to directly observe.
Therefore, collecting and analyzing the fault signals of the electric spindle, extracting their fault characteristics, and achieving fault diagnosis of the electric spindle is of great significance.
