All conveyer shafts and drums should be leveled. The horizontal error of the shafts, depending on the width of the conveyer, should be within 0.5—1.5mm. While installing the drive unit, tail wheels and other tensioning devices can be installed as well. The drum axis of the tensioning devices should be perpendicular to the centerline of the belt conveyer.
Following the installation of the rack, transmission unit, and tensioning device, the roller架 for the upper and lower idlers can be mounted, allowing the conveyor belt to have a gradual directional bend. The spacing of the roller架 in the bending section is 1/2 to 1/3 of the normal roller架 spacing. After the roller installation, it should rotate smoothly and easily.
To ensure that the conveyor belt always runs along the centerline of the idlers and drums, the following requirements must be met during the installation of the idlers, frames, and drums: All idlers must be aligned in a row, parallel to each other, and maintain a horizontal level. All drums must also be aligned in a row, parallel to each other. The supporting structure frame must be straight and maintain a horizontal level. Therefore, after the installation of the drive drum and idler frame, the centerline and level of the conveyor must be realigned.
