Powder Pretreatment: For static pressure molding processes of friable powders, pretreatment of the powder is also necessary. By using granulation technology, the fluidity of the powder is enhanced. Adding binder and lubricant reduces internal friction within the powder, improves bond strength, and makes it suitable for molding requirements.
2. Molding processes, including filling, pressurizing, holding pressure, and depressurizing stages. The filling should ensure the powder is evenly distributed in the mold to avoid air pockets; the pressurizing should be smooth with an appropriate speed; for different powders and坯体 shapes, select the suitable pressure and holding time; and also choose the appropriate depressurizing speed.
3. Molding dies require special considerations for isostatic pressing, including adequate elasticity and shape retention; high tensile and crack resistance, as well as wear resistance; good corrosion resistance without undergoing chemical reactions with the medium; and excellent demolding performance. They are also cost-effective and have a long service life. Wet isostatic pressing typically uses rubber molds, while dry isostatic pressing often utilizes materials such as polyurethane and polyvinyl chloride.
