The primary materials include unsaturated polyester resin, glass fiber fabric, chopped glass fiber, and glass fiber yarn. The product is available in round and square flap gates. Connection types include flanged, concrete poured, hand-laid joint, and sleeve joint; while structural types include hollow floating plate, flat plate, and pump types.

The FRP flap gates with flange connections are divided into three types: wing ring pipe flange connection, pre-bolted flange connection, and expansion screw flange connection.
