The classification of screw-type gate valves is extremely diverse. For instance, manual hand-crank valves, hand-crank/electric dual-use valves, side-tilt valves, direct-drive valves, and various mechanical gate valves, among others. Different types of gate valves have many distinct functions, often causing confusion during selection, which can severely impact their performance. During use, screw-type gate valves offer a range of functionalities, so it's crucial to choose the appropriate type for operation.

Screw-type gate valve installation and maintenance:

1. Ensure the foundation layout plane is level at 180°; the contact area between the machine base and the foundation layout plane must exceed 90%; the screw shaft axis must be perpendicular to the horizontal plane measured on the weir platform; it should also be perpendicular to the hinge holes of the weir plate to prevent the screw from tilting and causing localized stress that may damage the machinery.

2. Position the actuator at the installation site. Place a stop disk onto the screw shaft, then thread the screw into the actuator from the bottom of the beam. Once the screw is visible above the actuator, put the stop disk on. The bottom of the screw is connected to the gate.

3. The installation of the foundation building for the opening and closing machine must be stable and safe. The concrete for the machine base and foundation components shall be cast according to the drawings. Temporary supports for the opening and closing machine shall not be removed or altered until the concrete reaches the designed strength, and trial adjustments or trial operations are strictly prohibited.

4. Install the opening and closing machinery so that it aligns with the centerline of the gate's lifting point, ensuring the longitudinal and transverse centerline deviations are no more than ±3mm, and the elevation deviation is no more than ±5mm. Subsequently, pour the second stage of concrete or connect it to the pre-buried steel plate.

5. Installation of electrical equipment for opening and closing mechanisms complies with drawings and specifications; all electrical equipment is reliably grounded.

6. After each shutdown machine is installed, clean the shutdown machine, repair any damaged protective paint, and fill with lubricant.
