Marine throwing line equipment primarily includes throw-line and drum-line devices, used for quickly deploying lines over long distances between distressed vessels, lifeboats, rafts, and rescue ships, or between ships and shore, to facilitate rescue operations.
Parachute equipment is used to deploy the rope cable from the rocket to the target ship or shore. Safety precautions should be taken when operating the equipment.Scram! The operator should stand behind the projector box.Scram!Aim at the target, the horizontal elevation is generally around 30°, squeeze the trigger with your finger to activate the propellant cartridge, and a rocket will be launched.
After the rope is thrown, use it to pass and set up cables between vessels or between ships and the shore, to transport personnel or retrieve supplies. To achieve the longest possible throw distance, the launching vessel should be positioned upwind. Other non-essential personnel should remain at a safe distance to avoid accidental injury due to inaccurate launches.
Each vessel should be equipped with at least 4 sets of throwing line equipment, including 4 boxes of throwing lines (each box containing 400 meters of line). These should be accompanied by user manuals and illustrations. The throwing line equipment should be stored in the cabin or chart room, with clearly marked storage locations.
