Compact Syngas Solutions(CSS)A Welsh company at the forefront of biomass and waste-to-hydrogen technology, the company is involved in carbon capture and storage from bioenergy.(H2BECCS)Innovative projects have received nearly400The company has secured funding of 10 million pounds. This initiative is supported by the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero Emissions.(DESNZ)Management initiatives support projects focused on making the energy industry more environmentally friendly. 

        CSSAt the forefront of the UK's clean energy industry, the company harnesses a cutting-edge gasification process to produce gas from waste wood and other selected non-recyclable materials. Normally, these waste products would end up in landfills, decompose, and release harmful gases. However,CSSEffectively converting these waste materials into synthetic gas, a valuable fuel source, thereby reducing landfill waste and associated emissions. 

Impact of FundingCSSExpansion Plans

Recently acquired funding will be utilized to construct a full-scale prototype.CSSThe expansion of our technology to a commercial-scale demonstration facility. This unit will showcase the ability to separate and store water during the vaporization process, a feat previously achieved using amines—a potentially harmful compound extracted from ammonia.

As carbon capture is enhanced,CSSAimed at reducing the carbon footprint of gas and maximizing the efficiency of the process, captured gas will be stored, while the remaining synthetic gas will power this process and supply excess energy to the grid.
