The electronics industry is one of the earlier and more widespread sectors to utilize ultrasonic cleaning applications.

Cleaning of Electronic Components: Electronic components such as semiconductor tube cases, IC cases, crystal cases, relay cases, tube cases, etc.

Board Cleaning for Electronic Components: The base of electronic components, made of semiconductor materials, is encapsulated within metal or plastic casings. Before encapsulation, both the casings and the bases, such as IC chips, resistors, crystals, semiconductors, and original membrane circuits, must be thoroughly cleaned.

PCB Board Cleaning: In the Chinese electronics industry, most enterprises categorize PCB assembly soldering flux into three types: water-soluble, rosin-based, and no-clean. Ultrasonic cleaning machines are used for the first two types, while the no-clean type is generally not recommended for cleaning. However, most manufacturers worldwide still require cleaning, especially when dealing with high-density PCBs and IC pins without cleaning or ultrasonic cleaning. This can lead to dust accumulation between high-density lines and IC pins, causing short-circuit failures in humid environments. Conversely, short-circuit issues often disappear on their own in dry conditions, making the failures difficult to detect. As a result, electronic manufacturers around the globe consistently opt for ultrasonic PCB cleaning. In China, electronic factories have begun to promote this practice, reaping the dual benefits of improved product reliability and reduced after-sales service costs.

Connectors, adapters, and other components must also be cleaned during the production, electroplating, and assembly processes. Otherwise, dust and oil absorption on these assembled parts can affect conductivity and insulation properties, especially for complex multi-core connectors.

Cleaning of electronic materials after processing and shaping: Chips, silicon chips, piezoelectric ceramic chips, and other electronic materials supplied to component manufacturers must be cleaned before shipment. For export-oriented manufacturers, ensuring product cleanliness has become a significant issue, and ultrasonic cleaning is an effective method.
