Firstly, replace the membranes to be cleaned on the reverse osmosis system with high-performance spare membrane elements to ensure the continuous operation of the reverse osmosis system and maintain the stability of the entire production process.
2. Performance Testing of Reverse Osmosis Membrane Elements (This step is particularly important):
(1) Each membrane element is individually tested for its performance indicators, including desalination rate, water production, pressure difference, weight, and thorough pre-test records are maintained.
(2) Desalination rate, water production, and pressure difference test conditions: Compliant with standards provided by different types of membrane manufacturers.
3. Understand the current operational status of the system prior to system cleaning.
4. Collect and record the various parameters and indicators of the operating reverse osmosis system.
5. Determine the cleaning process based on the original water full analysis report, performance test results, and system information understood.
6. Identification of Pollutants. Initially, based on the analysis results from Section 5, a preliminary determination is made. Then, further verification is conducted using specialized equipment and instruments to ascertain the specific type of pollutants.
7. Based on the analysis results from Section 5.6, determine the required cleaning formula. Once the contaminants on the RO membrane are identified, we can select one or two suitable formulas from the series provided by the membrane manufacturer; or opt for a special formula (when the RO membrane is contaminated by special pollutants, ordinary formulas may not be effective, or from an economic standpoint, special formulas are more cost-effective). Currently, there are many dedicated cleaning agents for reverse osmosis membrane elements available both domestically and internationally, such as the KY series cleaning agents and disinfectants from开元恒业. Based on the author's experience, these agents have proven to be effective and, compared to traditional agents, are also economically sound.
8. Conducted a trial cleaning using the above cleaning agent in combination with physical treatment methods on reverse osmosis dedicated cleaning equipment to select the appropriate cleaning formula and program.
9. Determine the cleaning method and process all membrane elements accordingly.
Upon cleaning, membrane elements will be tested on the testing platform and documented. Those that do not meet requirements will be reprocessed in the cleaning equipment.
11. Compile and clean data materials, and draft a summary report on the data cleaning process.
