A square tube is a lightweight thin-walled steel pipe with a hollow square cross-section, also known as cold-formed steel profile. It is a type of steel section formed by cold bending hot-rolled or cold-rolled strip or coil into a square shape, and then welded by high-frequency welding. The hot-rolled thick-walled square tube, in addition to the increased wall thickness, also features corner dimensions and edge straightness that meet or exceed the level of resistance-welded cold-formed square tubes. It boasts excellent comprehensive mechanical properties, weldability, cold and hot working performance, and corrosion resistance, with good low-temperature toughness.
