Excellent corrosion resistance. Made primarily from high molecular weight unsaturated polyester resin and glass fiber, glass reinforced plastics can effectively withstand corrosion from acids, alkalis, salts, untreated sewage, corrosive soil, chemical wastewater, and numerous chemical liquids. Generally, they can maintain the operation of pipelines for long periods.

2. The glass steel pipes have excellent anti-aging and heat resistance properties. They can be used over a long period at temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 70℃. The pipes can also operate normally at temperatures above 200℃ with special high-temperature resins. For outdoor use, the pipes are coated with UV absorbers on the outer surface to eliminate radiation from UV and delay the aging of the glass steel pipes.

3. Excellent frost resistance. The pipe will not crack after freezing when the temperature drops below -20℃.

4. Lightweight, high-strength, and easy to transport. Glass steel pipes are not only lightweight, high in strength, and highly malleable, but also easy to transport and install. They also facilitate the installation of various branch pipes, with a simple installation technique.

5. Excellent hydraulic conditions. Smooth inner walls with strong conveying capacity, non-scaling, non-corrosive, and low water resistance.

6. Excellent Design Flexibility: Glass steel pipes can be customized to meet various specific user requirements, such as different flow rates, pressures, burial depths, and load conditions, resulting in pipes with different pressure and stiffness grades.

7. Low maintenance costs. Due to the properties of resistance to corrosion, abrasion, frost, and pollution, glass steel pipes do not require measures such as rust prevention, anti-pollution, insulation, and thermal preservation for the project. Underground pipes do not need cathodic protection, which can save over 70% of maintenance costs for the project.

8. Excellent Abrasion Resistance. Conducted a comparative test on the rotational wear of water containing a large amount of mud and sand by filling it into pipes. After 3 million rotations, the wear depth on the inner wall of the pipes was as follows: 0.53mm for steel pipes coated with tar and porcelain enamel, 0.52mm for steel pipes coated with epoxy resin and tar, and 0.21mm for glass steel pipes treated with surface hardening. Therefore, glass steel demonstrates superior abrasion resistance.

9. Excellent electrical insulation properties. FRP is a non-conductor, and the electrical insulation of the pipes is particularly excellent, with insulation resistance ranging from 10^12 to 10^15 Ω.cm. Suitable for use in areas with dense transmission and telecommunication lines as well as regions prone to lightning, the thermal conductivity of FRP is very low, at only 0.23, which is one-fifth of steel's. The pipes exhibit superior thermal insulation properties.

10. Low friction resistance and high conveying capacity. The inner wall of glass steel pipes is extremely smooth, with minimal roughness and friction. The roughness coefficient is 0.0084, while the n-value for concrete pipes is 0.014, and for cast iron pipes, it is 0.013. Therefore, glass steel pipes can significantly reduce fluid pressure loss along the pipeline, enhancing conveying capacity. This results in substantial economic benefits: at the same conveying capacity, smaller inner diameter glass steel pipes can be used for the project, reducing initial investment; using pipes of the same inner diameter, glass steel pipes can reduce head loss compared to other materials, saving pumping costs. Additionally, glass steel pipes can shorten pumping time, reducing long-term operating expenses.
