Traffic signage can be differentiated in various ways: between primary and auxiliary signs, between movable and fixed signs; between illuminated, luminous, and reflective signs; and variable message signs that reflect changes in the driving environment. There are numerous types of traffic signs.
The traffic signs, as specified in the "Regulations on Road Traffic Signs and Markings," are divided into seven categories:
Warning Signs: Markers alerting vehicles and pedestrians to hazardous locations.
2. Regulatory signs that prohibit or restrict traffic behaviors of vehicles and pedestrians.
3. Directional Signs: Signs indicating vehicle and pedestrian movement.
4. Guide signs convey directions, locations, and distances on the road.
5. Tourist Area Signage: Provides directional and distance signs for tourist attractions.

7. The auxiliary sign is affixed beneath the main sign for the purpose of supplementary explanation.
