Shelving – Heavy-duty shelving is primarily distinguished after installation from the following aspects:

1. The material for racks is generally cold-rolled steel profiles, typically following the national standards. However, manufacturers using national standards are rare, primarily due to pricing issues. A straightforward approach is to conduct a test based on the agreed-upon load capacity. Domestically, Baogang Original Factory and Shanghai No.1 Steel Plant's SS400 steel are used. It seems that there is no strict and comprehensive national standard for racks, and only a few can meet the European FEM rack standard.

2. The structure of the shelving should be examined for even and multiple bends in the upright posts; the more even and symmetrical the structure, the better. The crossbars should be assessed for their hooking structure and how they attach to the uprights: more hooks on the crossbars are preferable, as they can bear more weight; the hooks should fit tightly and consistently onto the uprights, with the inside of the hooks tightly contacting the upright side without gaps—such a structure ensures stability, good weight-bearing, and durability.
