Material baskets should be loaded under the supervision of a designated person. After the furnace cover is opened, quickly lower the material basket to the center of the furnace without being too high, too far off-center, or too low. Aim for the lowest possible position for the chain plate of the material basket without damaging it. For secondary feeding, do not wait until the first batch of material is completely melted before adding more, to prevent steel liquid from jetting and splashing, and also to prevent explosions.
