Cooling rolls (also known as chilled rolls) are rolls that introduce cooling water. In the process of calendering film or adhesive tape coating, cooling the material through the cooling rolls before rolling is done to reduce material deformation caused by the shrinkage of hot material during final rolling.
Cold-rolling cylinders can achieve cooling and temperature reduction for fabrics (fabrics, yarns, etc.), effectively preventing fabric scorching during the weaving process.
Cooling rollers (cooling drums) can be used in tissue paper drying equipment for rolls, serving as a roller behind the drying equipment to reduce the temperature of the rolled tissue paper to the curing temperature of thermosetting printing inks.
