Scrap CopperCommon types are generally divided into 9 categories: No.1 Copper Wire, No.2 Copper Wire, Waste Enamel Coated Wire, No.1 Purple Mixed Copper, No.2 Purple Mixed Copper, No.1 Copper Bead, No.2 Copper Bead, Thin Copper Plate, Waste Copper Foil.
Copper scrap includes processed copper and cast copper scrap. Grade 1: Copper scrap of a single brand, including waste parts, offcuts, and scrap in various shapes, but free from powders and chips, with impurities less than 2%. Grade 2: Copper scrap with the same name, such as common copper scrap, nickel copper scrap, etc., including waste parts, offcuts, and scrap in various shapes, free from powders and chips, with impurities less than 2%. Grade 3: Mixed copper scrap with different names, including waste parts, offcuts, and various other scrap, free from powders and chips, with impurities less than 2%.
No. 1 Copper Wire: Pure copper wire, bare, uncoated, and without alloys, with a surface free of oxidation and burrs, and a diameter of not less than 1.6mm. Grade 2: Pure copper wire and copper cable wire, clean, colorless, uncoated, without tin, and without alloys, free of burrs and fragile, burned copper wire.
No-alloy Copper Wire: Waste copper wire containing impurities, with a copper content of 96%. It must not contain excessively leaded or tin-plated copper wire, welded copper wire, brass or bronze wire, excessive oil, waste steel and non-metals, brittle over-fired wire, insulated copper wire, or excessive fine wire. Dust and dirt must be removed in an appropriate manner.
Waste Enamelled Wire: Pure enamelled wire, free of impurities. Grade 2: High-temperature degreased, with an oxide layer on the surface, free of impurities.
Special copper scrap, mainly including pure copper scraps, cut-offs, defective materials, semi-finished products, wire materials, and waste products generated from copper processing factories and copper manufacturing plants; it allows for the inclusion of discarded pure copper wires and tubes, as well as other pure copper products, but not scales, oil stains, coatings, etc.; the copper scrap must not contain any impurities or copper alloys, nor should it have burrs, shavings, grinding debris, or copper sheets with a thickness less than 1mm.
No.1紫杂铜: Includes clean, unalloyed, uncoated scrap materials, conductive plates, and copper wire with a diameter greater than 1.6mm. Copper pipes and other pure copper block materials are permitted in the material, with a copper content of 98%. Burnt, brittle copper wire is not allowed.
No. 2 Copper Alloy: Should include mixed scrap copper, free from copper alloys, containing 96% copper, and should not contain excessive amounts of lead and tin, soldered copper scrap, excessive oil, steel, non-metallic scrap, copper pipes with non-copper fittings or pipes with residues, burned or insulated copper wire, bristles,脆质 copper wire after combustion, soil, etc.
1# Copper Rice: Should include 1# bare, uncoated, and non-alloyed copper wire scrap, free of fuzz. Free from tin, lead, zinc, aluminum, iron, and other metal impurities, no insulating material, and free from other contaminants.
2 Copper Rice: Should include non-alloyed copper wire scrap rice without any other non-metals or insulating materials. Metal impurity limits are as follows: Aluminum - 0.05%, Nickel - 0.05%, Iron - 0.05%, Tin - 0.25%, Antimony - 0.01%. Grade 2: Should include copper rice processed from Grade 2 non-alloyed copper wire. Copper content is 97%, with aluminum metal impurities not exceeding 0.5%, and other metals or insulating materials not exceeding 1%.
Bare Copper Sheets: Should include mixed non-alloyed waste copper sheets with a copper content of 92%. This includes waste copper sheets, troughs, downspouts, copper kettles, water heaters, and similar waste copper. It should not contain: burned fine copper wire, covered copper parts, electroplated sheets, chips, unburnt wires, radiators, refrigerator parts, printed circuit boards, screens, waste copper with excessive solder, brass and bronze, excessive oil, iron and non-metals, slag and soil.
Scrap Copper Foil: Primarily generated from copper foil factories and PCB (Printed Circuit Board) manufacturers. Grade 1: Pure scrap copper foil, with no impurities. Grade 2: Pure copper foil sheet, with a 3% impurity content. Grade 3: Pure copper foil sheet containing binder.
