The interface of elbi's diaphragm pressure vessels is directly welded to the tank body. Rusting at the welding joints can eventually lead to leakage and render the pressure vessel inoperable, as shown in the following image:
Due to the can wall thickness typically being around 1mm and the joints being directly welded to the can, this type of connection can withstand very little torque. During the installation of the can, it must be rotated by holding the shell, so excessive force or forcefulness can break the joints.
