Corrosion-resistant steel pipes are primarily categorized into several types, including anti-corrosion spiral steel pipes, anti-corrosion straight seam steel pipes, and anti-corrosion seamless steel pipes. The most common form of anti-corrosion steel pipe in the market today is 3PE coated.

Domestically, the SY/T0413-2002 standard has been enforced since August 1, 2002. This standard primarily regulates polyethylene and high-density polyethylene, setting the Vicat softening point at no less than 110°C. The thickness of the external anti-corrosion layer is determined according to the German standard DIN 30670-1991, which primarily focuses on low and medium-density polyethylene. This significantly enhances the impact resistance of the 3PE anti-corrosion coating. The SY/T0413-2002 standard significantly improves the剥离 strength and impact resistance of the 3PE coating, clearly specifies the mechanical strength and weather resistance based on certain carbon black content, and increases the frequency of random testing for the joint stripping strength (i.e., the stripping strength of the heat-shrink sleeve or heat-shrink tape from the undercoat steel).
