Screw shaft guard, also known as screw shaft sleeve, is a type of protective cover that effectively shields screw shafts, light shafts, shafts, columns, and other components from dust and other external contaminants and damage.
The products are categorized by manufacturing process into steel ring-supported and sewn styles. Shape-wise, they include cylindrical, tower, square, rectangular, elliptical, stair, crescent, semicircular, and various other shapes. Connection types include: (1) Both Ends with Collar (Buckle-style), (2) Both Ends with Flange (Screw-style), and (3) One End with Flange, One End with Collar. Flanges are further divided into PVC flanges and metal flanges.
Steel ring supported
Offered in various fabrics, supported by steel rings and constructed with high-frequency heat-sealed sleeves, the outer diameter is fixed. It operates normally between 110℃ and -40℃ temperatures. It effectively resists dust, water, oil, emulsions, and chemicals, featuring a neat appearance and resistance to deformation. Its tightness and rigidity make it suitable for ventilation and dust removal in numerous mechanical applications. The required diameter and length can be determined based on the specific customer requirements.
Sewn
A variety of materials are available depending on the working environment. The products are first formed into disks through stamping and sewing. The adjacent two inner edges and two outer edges are sewn together, achieving good shape stability and firmness in the horizontal direction through the stitching process. Installation methods include integral, zipper, Velcro, snap, etc., providing greater convenience for the users.
The component can perform extension or compression movements. It can be used either vertically or horizontally. When in a horizontal position, plastic or aluminum support rings are used to maintain a uniform distance between the protective casing and the screw, thereby extending the service life. For greater stretch lengths, a metal ring is added to each fold to enhance the stability of the protective casing. Metal flanges are used for connections or fixed ends, or a sleeve-type option can be chosen.
