Screw shaft protector, also known as screw shaft sleeve, is a type of protective cover that effectively shields screws, light shafts, shafts, pillars, and other components from dust and other external contaminants and damage.
The products are categorized by manufacturing process into steel ring-supported and stitched types. By shape, they include cylindrical, tower, square, rectangular, oval, stair, crescent, semicircular, and various other shapes. Connection methods include: (1) Both ends with a collar (clamp style), (2) Both ends with a flange (screw style), and (3) One end with a flange and one end with a collar. Flanges are further divided into PVC flanges and metal flanges.
Steel Ring Supported
Available in various fabrics, supported by steel rings, and made with high-frequency heat-sealed sleeves, the outer diameter is fixed. It operates normally between 110℃ and -40℃. It effectively resists dust, water, oil, emulsions, and chemicals. It features neat appearance and resistance to deformation. Its tightness and rigidity make it suitable for ventilation and dust removal in various machinery. The required diameter and length can be determined according to the specific user requirements.
Sewn
Available in various materials based on different working environments, these products are initially formed into discs through stamping and sewing. The two adjacent inner edges and two outer edges are stitched together, which ensures good shape stability and firmness in the horizontal direction. They can be further categorized by installation methods, including whole, zipper, hook-and-loop, and snap styles, providing greater convenience for installation.
It can extend or compress with the parts, suitable for both vertical and horizontal use. In the horizontal position, use a plastic or aluminum support ring to maintain a certain uniform distance between the internal cavity of the guard and the screw, thus extending its service life. For greater extension lengths, add a metal ring at each bend to enhance the stability of the guard. The connecting or fixed end is fitted with a metal flange, or an option for a sleeve clamp.
