Hollow inductor (also known as coreless coil or hollow coil, integrated molding inductor factory, commonly used in high-frequency circuits) does not use magnetic cores, frames, and shields, but rather is wound on a mold and then the mold is removed, with the turns of the coil spaced apart. 2. Winding - Winding refers to a set of coils with specified functions, which is a basic component of inductors. Winding can be single-layer or multi-layer. Single-layer winding comes in two forms: tightly wound (where the wire is wound one layer on top of another) and interleaved (where there is a certain distance between each layer of wire); multi-layer winding includes methods such as layered flat winding, random winding, and pattern winding.


Magnet cores and rods are typically made of materials like nickel-zinc ferrite (NX series) or manganese-zinc ferrite (MX series), available in shapes such as "I" beam, cylindrical, cap-shaped, "E" shape, and canister-shaped. 4. Iron cores The main materials for iron cores include silicon steel sheets and permalloy, with micro-integrated inductors usually having an "E" shape. 5. Shielding covers To prevent the magnetic field generated by some inductors from affecting the normal operation of other circuits and components, a metallic shielding cover is added (e.g., oscillating coils in semiconductor radios). Inductors with shielding covers will increase coil losses, reducing the Q-value.
